2. Bourbon Whiskey Grades

1) Straight Bourbon

Adheres to the strictest regulations, requiring a minimum of 2 years of aging in new oak barrels. No additives are allowed, and the alcohol content must be 40% or higher. Considered one of the most premium types of bourbon.

2) Straight Bourbon (Age Stated)

Specific age statements are allowed on the label for bourbon whiskies that have been aged for a certain period.

3) Bourbon

General bourbon may not follow the regulations of Straight Bourbon, allowing more flexibility in aging and the addition of flavoring agents. Generally more affordable.

4) Bottled in Bond

Government-regulated whiskey, requiring a minimum of 4 years of aging and a release at 100 proof (50% alcohol) to be certified.

5) Small Batch

Produced in limited quantities from a special batch, offering unique flavors and characteristics. No specific regulations apply.

6) Single Barrel

Produced in a single oak barrel without blending, resulting in each bottle having a unique taste and aroma.
